Yard - A Work in Progress

We are finally seeing some postive progress in the yard! We got all the all the curbing in and the dirt leveled. We have alittle staining left on the swing set and still need to bring in some dirt to level out the back but for the most part its about done for this year.

This weekend we finished up the front of the house with 4 yards of mulch. Matt and I were suppose to drive up and get it on Saturday morning but I ended up going up by myself. I think that I must have stopped 20 times to rearange the tarps or to tighten the tow starps. I had way to much mulch on the trailer and I am sure that I lost quite a bit before I arrived home.

Little Tinker's

Madison and Georgia had their first dance recital last night. Their class danced to "You Can Fly" from the movie Peter Pan. I pulled their hair back the night before and put curlers in. I new Justice would want to do her hair too, but I was really surprised when Brooklyn told me she wanted hers done.Georgia and Madison loved getting all dressed up for the recital. They were so darn cute!
Dad with his Tinker's.Georgia and Madison did wonderful job!! Despite the fact that they love dance, both have decided that they would like do gymnastics next year.

Fathers Day Weekend.

For Father’s Day we decided that we were going to take Matt camping. We reserved a little cabin at a place called “Lizzie and Charlies” in Marysvale,UT. Oh, and when I say little I mean little, big enough for a futon couch and a bed. As soon as we got there we unloaded the four-wheelers and got all of our stuff in the cabin. Then headed off on a trail called “Dear Creek “. We were only into the ride about 15 minutes when weather started to move in. We pulled over and put a tarp over the girls so that we could keep them dry. The rain only lasted for a little bit and soon we were riding again. One thing about Marysvale, it’s so beautiful. He are the girls and I standing in front of a huge river that runs along the city.

Here we are crossing a stream. We started to head up the mountain and were lucky enough to have cover under the tree’s when it started to Thunder. We had ponchos for the girls to put on, so we stopped, had snacks, and tried to wait the rain out. Justice has been anticipating a run in with a bear. I am very happy to say that we did not see any but we did manage to see a bears den and some deer. When we got back to camp that night Justice rode her four-wheeler around with her dad.
Madison showing us a rock Once it got dark and Matt got a fire going we cooked up some smores.

We got up early Sunday and headed out. This time we did Miners loop. This is where we encountered the “Cow”. There was a fence and you could see about 20 or so, bull and calfs behind this fence. In order to follow the trail you have to drive thru an opening in the fence and through all the cows. Well there was one cow that had somehow gotten out of the fence and was trying to get back in. Every time Matt would drive near the fence she would walk towards him. Eventually she got through and Matt and I were able to drive to the other side.
It took us a couple of hours to make it to the top. Here is a picture from the top. It was really pretty, but extremely cold and windy. There was quite a bit of snow at the top too. But all the trails were clear enough for us to make it without a problem.

We had a great time and will definitely do it again.
Happy Father’s Day Matt!!

Down Pour At The Zoo

This weekend my Mom and Pete took the girls to the zoo. They were calling for storms, but the clear blue sky's told a different story. We decided to go for it. Before we left for the zoo Justice & I decided to get a couple of umbrella's just in case. Here is Georgia right before we went into the park. One of the first things that we did when we got to the zoo was ride the carousal. Here is Georgia Grandpa & MadisonAfter riding on the carousal we headed over to the Elephant Encounter. By this time it started to sprinkle alittle bit, but cleared right up. Maddy and I are sitting outside waiting for Justice and Grandpa to come back with lunch. So after taking the train around the zoo Justice wanted to get her face painted. While the girls were all standing in line to get their faces painted with Grandma, Pete and I took the other girls in the Madagascar exhibit. It only took us about 5 minutes to make it thru but by the time that we came out it was a torrential down pour. We ended up finding cover under the tent that where the face painting was. It took a good 45 minutes before the rain let up and we could run to the truck
Justice picked out a panda BearWe picked out a butterfly for Brook, but she picked out the colors.

Another Cavity !!

The girls were all due for their 6 month dentist check-ups. No sweat, we are really good about brushing our teeth. Yeah Right... Georgia and Madison both will be visiting the dentist again, because both have a cavity. I asked the dentist what we were doing wrong and he said that the girls are not flossing....
Here are some pictures of the girls. Bookerbee is getting her teeth x-rayed and Maddy and Georgia are waiting for the hygienist.I am beginning to hate going to the dentist!

Fishing with Grandma and Grandpa

Today we spent the afternoon at the Cold Springs Trout Farm. The girls took turns with Grandma catching fish. I was actually very surprised at how hands on the girls were with the fish. Justice and Brooklyn kept taking the fish out of the buckets to hold them... yuck. We had a good time and nobody fell in, lol.

10 Years

Matt and I just celebrated our 10 year anniversary! I can't believe that it's been 10 years already. We decided to spend our anniversary in Midway at the Zermatt Resort. We first went horse back riding at Sundance Stables. About 11 years ago, Matt's plan was to hike the mountain and upon arrival to stewart falls he would propose. Matt was sick that day so the hiking part was not working out. He ended up proposing to me on the trail. We never did make it to the falls....until 11 years later on a horse. Its pretty ironic. When I planned the horse back riding I did not know the falls were part of the ride.
We had a great weekend together, and I look forward to the next ten years.
Thanks Again to my Mom and Pete for watching the girls for us!
