Splash Park Part II

The girls & I decided to hit the splash park again, and this time the Egan family joined us. It started out a little rough, getting on base, But after digging through our trucks we found the papers we needed. The girls had so much fun running around with their friends. Brooklyn is going through the phase where she really fights Matt and I with nap time. The problem is, she really needs to take a nap. Well Brooklyn fell asleep in the truck on the way to the park. She must have been so tired because when I pulled her out of the truck and put her on the blanket she never woke up.
Georgia, Julie & Tara Thanks for coming Tara !!

Hooray for Georgia and Madison

Last week Matt took Georgia and Madison's training wheels off of their bikes, and both girls were really scared about riding without them.
It only took Madison a couple of days to learn, she really just got on and started riding her bike. Georgia on the other hand has been avoiding her bike. When we would go for a bike ride she would take her scooter. Its taken her a little bit longer but she's got it.
All the twins want to do is ride their bikes now.
Hooray for Georgia and Madison

Splash Park

Today the girls and I went up on base to the splash park. Its kind of hidden in the base housing area and is never really all that busy. Justice invited her friend Lilly to come along. Here are the girls standing underneath a big bucket that fills up then spills over. The girls had a good time running around and getting wet.

Justice Lilly & Madison
On a side note... Brooklyn and I were sitting on the blanket while the other girls were playing. Brooklyn was naming all the things on the blanket. When she got to the camera she looks at me and says "cheese". After a million times of telling the girls to say cheese and look at the camera she must have thought that's what the camera was called.

Riding Bikes

This weekend the twins decided that they wanted two wheelers, meaning that they wanted Dad to take the training wheels off. Georgia and Madison were pretty scared. Its definitely going to take some time for the twins to master bikes without the assistance of training wheels or Dad holding onto the bike. Here is Georgia and Madison outside, there cheeks are so red because its about 100 degrees outside. Here they are playing with the rocket

Body Paint?

My dear sweet BookerBee was at it again, that is driving her Mommy mad. When I got home from work the girls and I got the paint out. I was getting things setup and Brooklyn was busy with the concentrated water color. She some how managed to get it all over her legs and hands, and of course it does not come off.

Bear Lake

What a fun time we had this week-end at Bear Lake. We packed up the girls and King and took the 2 1/2 hour drive up. When we got there we did have a little scare... The truck, yep Matts big old rig got stuck. It turned out that the 4-wheel drive was not really engaged, Matt just manually turned them on and we were out.
Usually the water is really chilly up there but to our surprise it was beautiful. All of the girls loved the water and had so much fun playing. King was a big whimp and would not swim....until the water got real deep. I guess he decided to swim rather than drown.

Drvie-In

We have been trying to make it to the drive-in for the last couple of weeks and finally made it. We saw "Ice Age 3", which was extremely funny. Highly recommend.
I was kind of surprised that everyone made it through the movie without falling asleep, but by the end of the movie Matt and I were definitely ready to take Brook home and put her to bed.

Happy 12th Birthday Gretchen

Happy Birthday Gretchen! The girls and I decided that we would do cupcakes. Justice picked green cupcakes and yellow& blue frosting. I didn't get a really good picture of Gretchen, she wasn't really in the party mood.
Maddy and GretchHere are the other party animals. Can you believe that this is our little puppy King. He is seriously a horse... By the way if Justice would have had her way Gretchen and King would be wearing dresses. Love you Gretchen!!

Newson Water Park

Its not really a water park, more like a home made water slide. When I came home from work yesterday Matt and the girls were out in the back playing on our new water slide. Matt Took the hose and connected it right above the slide. Justice is getting ready to make her decent down into the green pool.I only saw Madison start at the very top one time, it was really fast. So Georgia and Madison would climb up about half way and slide down. Here is Maddy sliding down.
Georgia getting a big splash before she hits the water.

Red White & Blue - Happy 4th of July

So much to celebrate this 4th of July.
First Congrats to Rob, Jessica & Cole!! Welcome Baby Allison Jane Newson
Second, Our Freedom! Happy 4th of July.
We started the holiday off by taking the girls to the West Point City Parade. We got there early to get a really good spot. The girls had a blast gathering all the candy.
Later on that night we headed out to the Clearfeild City Fireworks with the Tremblay Family. We also arrived there early, so the girls were all running around. It must have tired poor little Justice right out, she fell asleep before the fireworks started and slept right through them all.
I just love the girls expressions in this picture. I think that the fireworks frightened Brooklyn and took Georgia by surprise.

The Zoo

For the 4th of July Weekend the Hoogle Zoo always has free admission for any Military member and their families. Since we got rained out at the zoo a couple of weeks ago we decided to try it again. This time we were able to see all the animals. Justice could not wait to get her face painted again, its really all she could think about. Justice's face is painted like a cheetah and Brooklyn's is painted like a tiger. Here we are on the train.
Georgia and Madison did not get their faces painted. I am not sure why but neither one of them wanted to do it. They both tell me next time...

Here is dad and Madison.
