Memorial Day

Nat, John, Drew and Brandon all came up for Memorial Day. The day was great for a BBQ.

After eating we had a water balloon toss. The object was to throw and catch the water balloon with your towel. But you know how boys get... Before you know it water balloons were flying everywhere.
Here are Matt and Drew getting ready to launch a water balloon over to Brandon and Nat.

Hoops

Over the weekend Matt decided to get a basket ball hoop. I am very surprised at how much they love to play. Matt had to do a little fabrication to adjust the height of the basket ball hoop. On the lowest setting Justice was the only one that could shoot the ball up to the hoop. So a couple of new drilled holes and adjustments and everyone was "getting hoops", that's what Maddy calls baskets.
Matt and Justice putting it together. The girls are all taking a freezy pop break. Yes, that is Brooklyn laying down in a water puddle getting soaking wet. I am not sure where this girl came from.

Welcome Home Daddy!!

The girls and I have been waiting for this day to come since Jan! Around 9am we hung up our sign and the neighbors put up all the American Flags. When we got up to base the girls and I hung out in the hanger for about 1 or 2 hours waiting for the plane to land. Here are the girls waiting for their Dad!! The girls were able to watch the 747 land on the flight line, then watch all the men and women walk off. Its really hard to put into words how great it is to have Matt home. We love him so much and are so proud of everything that he does for our family and country!

Dance Recital 2010

I am just so proud of my girls. They did such a fabulous job at their recitals. Georgia & Madison did their routine to "Ever After" while Justice did a dance to Hannah Montana's "Super Girl." My mom and I started doing hair at 4 pm and it took about 2 1/2 hours to get all three of the girls hair and makeup done. Here is a picture of everyone before heading out.
Grandpa and Madison before heading back with all the other dancers.
All the girls received a trophy, they thought that was the coolest thing.
Big Hugs and Kisses to Grandma and Grandpa for everything that they do for us. We had such a great time while they were here!! We will miss them so much!

Getting Ready for Daddy to Come Home.

In preparation for Matt coming home the girls and I made a huge sign that we are going to hang on the garage. My first thought was that we would paint it outside ( less mess - easy clean up ) but the weather here in Utah has been so crappy. The girls love to paint, so they were all excited to help. Madison insisted on painting the "M". Brooklyn and Georgia are supervising her work. The girls did a great job painting all the letters. We cant wait to hang it up!!

Georgia & Madison's Field Trip to the Dinosaur Park

Georgia & Madison's pre-school class had a Field Trip at the Dinosaur Park. And Since Justice did not have school due to Kindergarten tested she was able to come with us. The girls had a great time with all their friends. When we got their they did a fun activity, they made dinosaur puppets then then had the rest of the time to run around the park with all the other kids.

Happy Birthday Madison and Georgia

Its finally here!! Georgia and Madison have been so excited for their birthday. We have been counting down the days for the last month! The day started off with the twins opening their birthday presents from Grandma Newson.... the cutest outfits!! Then it was off to pre-school.
Here are the girls before heading off to pre-school.
After picking the girls up from pre-school we were off to Boondocks. The girls loved it. We played Mini-bowling, bumper boat, and they had a soft play area for the kids to run around in.

Then we headed home again to have cake & ice cream and to open presents! Madison picked out the princess cake.

Madison and Georgia are both growing up so fast, I just love them so much.
A couple things about Maddy:
Loves "The Wizard of Waverly Place" and "High School Musical"
She loves to take her radio outside and dance with her sisters and friends.
Madison can talk your ear off.
She is very particular about how her hair looks, and will tell you what she wants.
Maddy is the best little helper, always wanting to help me around the house!!
A couple things about Georgia:
Georgia loves to color and is very very good at it. She sometimes surprises me, that is how good she is.
I like to call Georgia my little turtle because she is alittle on the poky side.
Georgia loves to play board games and do puzzles.
She is about a half an inch taller than Madison and weights about 1 pound more.
Georgia is my little night owl. When all the other girls are fast asleep in their beds Georgia is usually wide awake playing.
Happy Birhtday Maddy & Georgia!!!!

Making Magnets

So one of the fun things that we did while my parents were in town is to make magnets. We took scrap paper and traced around the decorative glass marbles. Then cut the paper out. We then took modge podge and glued the glass onto the scrap paper. Once that was all dry we used the hot glue gun to glued the magnets on the back.

Brooklyn was very busy cutting paper. I think that the majority of the time that we spent on the magnets she spent cutting up the scrap paper into very little pieces. Oh and did I mention about 3 weeks ago she cut her hair... Brooklyn and scissors are not a great combo.

Bye Bye Diapers

I cant believe that I am saying this but.... The Newson house is diaper free. Its seriously been 6 1/2 years since Matt and I have not had at least one of the girls in diapers. I realize that this will be short lived come September...
Its not been easy to potty train Brooklyn but after finding her weakness... Freezy pops its been great. Yes, I definitely bribed her. But when it comes to potty training I will stop at nothing.
