Today we closed on the sale of our house. Its pretty sad. We made a lot of memories there.. but we are moving to Tucson Arizona in January and are excited about it. In the mean time we are renting a house just around the corner, still in Clinton. Moving into this rental has done a couple of things: first made us realize that we have to much stuff. Second that our old house was prefect for our family, and we had some of the best neighbors ever!
Here's to moving on and making memories in Arizona!

Canterbury Downs
One of the things that we did while in Minnesota was hit the horse races. This was a first time for Matt and I. It was prefect for the girls because after the horse would race we could take the girls down to feed and pet all the horses.
Jamie and Joe are getting ready to make a bet... and lose.
We had a great time. Definitely something that we will do again!

Mount Rushmore
In planning our trip to Minnesota, we decided that it would be fun to stop in South Dakota for a couple of days and take in some history. Our first stop was Mount Rushmore. It was just as amazing as I thought it would be.
Next it was off to Crazy Horse, which was even more amazing. This sculpture is 1/34 the size of what the finished one will look be.
I am not sure if it will ever be done in our life time, but its pretty amazing and I am glad that we got to see it.

Roy Days Parade
Brooklyn got to do another parade this year. This time for Roy Days. It was a LONG parade, and so hot outside. Here is BookerBee before we left the house with her crazy sisters!
Brooklyn is right in the middle, so excited! Justice, Georgia and Madison collected so much candy, I have no idea what we are going to do with it all.

Another Eye Surgery For Maddy
All I can say is that Maddy is a brave little girl. This was Madison's second eye surgery. She basically has a very narrow tear duct and when her eye waters it pools on her lower eye instead of draining thru the tear duct. Here is Madison all ready to head off to surgery. She did not like the stylish socks that they gave her but, she was a good sport and wore them anyway.I just love Primary Children's Hospital. Everyone is just so awesome. Madison got to pick from about 15 smells for her anesthesia, and she picked root beer. I thought for sure it would have been bubble gum or cotton candy. The surgery lasted about 45 minutes and went well. They ended up putting in an irrigation tube in the duct.
