Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas! Our Christmas definitely started out early, around 4:30. Justice came in. She was so excited because "Santa had come". At around 5 o'clock we got out of bed and headed down stairs to let the girls open up their stockings. After stockings we had breakfast and opened up presents. Here is Brooklyn petting a cute little puppy that Grandma Newson got her.Justice
The girls were playing a crazy caterpillar game that they got from Santa. Brooklyn was getting frustrated because she could not get any of the marbles to stay on the caterpillar's hands.

Here is Georgia and Madison hiding out in Maddy's bed playing their Nintendo DS's.

When Matt and I asked the girls what their favorite thing that they got for Christmas this year: Justice's was her new shelf, Madison's was her DS and Georgia's was her bike. Brooklyn said hers was skittles. I was like hummm skittles, "Brooklyn you did not get skittles". Then she says to me, "no, my scooter".

Christmas Eve

After doing all sorts of running around on Christmas Eve, we headed home. Most of the evening was spent stuffing ourselves with shrimp and lobster ( the girls love it too ).Periodically through out the evening Matt and the girls would hop on the computer and see where Santa was. It was definitely driving Justice crazy, every other minute she wanted to see where he was "now". We always open up one present on Christmas Eve. New PJ's.

Christmas With Nat, John and Boys.

Nat, John and the Boys came up for dinner and to celebrate Christmas. The girls just love it when they come up. As you can see they were acting all crazy and hyper ( which is actually pretty normal for our house. )Brooklyn got a cute little skirt that she has not taken off since she got it. We are so lucky to have such a great family to spend the holidays with!! Love you Guys!!

School Christmas Parties

Justice's teacher put on a cute skit for their christmas party this year. They did a trip on the Polar Express around the world. Brooklyn and I stopped by to see all the festivities and to say Hi to Justice.
Poor little Georgia got sick in the truck while dropping Justice off to school. She ended up missing her christmas party. Brooklyn and I got to stop by and watch the kids all sit on santas lap. Madison was so shy, so I ended up going up with her.Brooklyn was pretty excited to tell Santa what she wanted this year for christmas.

More Fun In the Snow

We took the drive up to Monte and went sledding/snowmobiling. There was so much powder the girls little legs could barely walk thru the snow. Matt would give the girls a ride to the top and then they would sled down. You can't tell by the picture but the hill is huge and you were cruzing by the time you made it to the bottom. Towards the end Brooklyn was pretty tired and it was cold up at Monte, especially with the constant snow falling. Matt and Madison pulled Justice around and King followed behind. Justice was covered in snow and did not seem to mind.

Fun In the Snow

We went to a park in Sunset that has a pretty good sized hill. You could not have asked for a better day to go sledding. BookerBee going head first with Dad and loving it! After about an hour, the hill started to get pretty crowded so we went to Clinton City Park, which we had to ourselves.
Here is Georgia getting some air. Yep, we built a tiny little ramp and the girls loved it!What is playing in the snow without a snowball fight? Dad is definitely not playing fair, he makes huge snowballs. The girls and I buried Matt in the snow. They thought it was so funny that they could stand on him.

Ginger Bread House

Tonight we decorated our gingerbread house. The girls and I definitely had some difficulties with the roof. It just would not stay up. Before you knew it one of the sides started to cave it. In the end we did manage to get the roof on, the sides up and the ginger bread house decorated. And of course Georgia and Madison would not stop eating the candy, so some of the decorations are missing.

Bookerbee

So now that Justice is in kindergarten and Georgia and Madison have pre-school, its just dad and Brooklyn for a couple hours every Tuesday and Thursday. Out of all the girls Brooklyn is the one that definitely changes her clothes multiple times a day, which drives me nuts because the pile of laundry is ginormous to begin with. I guess it would only be natural that she would LOVE dress up. Here is what Matt saw coming down the stairs, of course it would not be complete without a little baby doll to top off the outfit.

Justice Lost Her First Tooth

Justice has been SOOOO anxious to lose a tooth. Starting last Sunday Justice woke up with a loose tooth. For the last week she has been wiggling it, and of course waiting for it to come out. Justice and I were sitting on the couch and I told her that it was getting really loose. Matt told Justice that he wanted to see too, well that was it. Matt went ahead and got himself a grip and then pulled it right out. All you heard was alittle ouch.

Starting to feel like Christmas

So now that the Christmas tree is up its starting to feel like Christmas! We finally got the tree trimmed and in the house. It was actually really hard to get the tree decorated. It was SO prickly ( never get a Scotch Pine ). Always a learning experience!

Fun with Gradma Newson

Grandma Newson has been visiting for the last week, and the girls have had so much fun playing games, listen to Christmas music, and just spending time with Grammy. We love you so much Grandma Newson!!!

Finding the Perfect Tree

This year we decided that we would have a real christmas tree. We have had a fake christmas tree for so long, I think that I forgot how imperfect real trees are. When we got to the Christmas tree farm we searched and searched to find our tree. It ended up being a really cold night and the girls really would have been happy with any tree that Matt cut down. When it came to cutting down the tree and loading it, it only took a couple of minutes.

Cant wait to get it into the house and decorate it, then it will feel like Christmas time!!

Happy Thanksgiving

So Much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving, we got to spend a week in St. George with family. We packed up the house and left on Saturday morning.
Matt got to do some golfing, the girls and I did some swimming, played some tennis, went to Zions and went 4 wheeling a couple of times.
Here is our sweet little nephew Cole and BookerBee coloring.

On one of the days we visited Zions National Park, which was a first time for Matt and I. On our way to Zions we stopped and had lunch at a little cafe in Springville.
Zions was beautiful, we hiked Riverside Walk which is about 2 miles round trip. Nat, Brandon, Mike and Drew in Zions National Park.
Rob, Matt,Cole and BookerBee.Dave, Sue, Becky and Madison Zions was alot of fun, the girls loved the 1.1 mile drive thru the mountain. On our first day of 4 wheeling we did about 60 miles. We had 3 rhino's and three 4 wheelers. Here is Justice and Cole before we headed out.
This is at the very beginning of our first day, by the end of the day everyone was covered in dirt. We did manage to get lost, so when we did finally make it back to the truck I think that everyone was pretty happy. Our second day of 4 wheeling we went to the Coral Pink Sand Dunes. The sand was definitely a high light for the girls. I think that they must have played in the sand for a couple of hours. They had so much sand everywhere!! Here they are sliding head first down one of the sand drifts. Here is Rob, Mike, Brandon and Drew. What a great Thanksgiving!

Hooray For Georgie!

I can not believe that Georgia can tie her shoes. It only took her about 15 minutes and she was doing it all by herself. You are such a smart little girl, always making us proud!!

Family Bowling

This was the first time that Matt and I have taken the whole family bowling. Brooklyn missed the first game entirely because she fell asleep on the way, but was up and bowling by the second game.
Here's Madison getting ready to throw a strike. The older girls all used a 6 pound ball and were able to carry it over to the lane. When the girls "rolled the ball" there was always a loud thud to follow. Here is Georgie trying to beat her sisters.

We had a fun time, and will definitely be taking the girls again.

Disney Princess On Ice

The girls love all the Disney Princesses, and were so excited to go. Each princess came out and acted out their story. When the intermission began Georgia and Madison were crushed, thinking it was over, because they thought Cinderella did not come. As it turns out the whole second half was Cinderella, so that made their day. The show was alot of fun, and the girls were all so good. Cant wait to take the girls to Disney Land and see all the princesses.

Parent/Teacher Conference

Matt and I got to experience our first parent teacher conference. This one was called a walking report card. When we got there, Justice showed us how she can group things together, create patterns, and count & spell her name using capital letters and lower case. Her teacher says that she is a bit of a social butterfly, but other than that she is doing great. Mrs. Hatch told us Justice is a really good at writing in her journal and likes to write about dogs and cats. :) We are so proud of you Justice!!!

Happy Birthday King

Kings birthday was actually on Halloween, but we decided to celebrate the day after. The girls made mini cupcakes for King. Justice even decided to put a skirt on King for the birthday party. King couldn't wait to taste the cupcakes, Justice had to give him one before we even sang to him.
King has a big old smile on his face. He can't wait for another cupcake.

Happy Halloween

This year for Halloween we headed up to the Clinton "Scales and Tails" show. They do it every year, so I thought that we could check it out this year. The show was pretty cool, they had lots of different snakes, lizards and a huge turtle. After watching the show we headed home, dropped off the truck and then headed out trick or treating. The girls had a great time and Brooklyn even made it the whole way walking. Here are some more pictures of the girls with their costumes on before we headed out.

Pumkins

It was down to the last minute this year for carving our pumkins. Justice picked out a scary pumkin. Brooklyn and Madison wanted thier pumkins to have happy faces. Georgia wanted a scary pumkin too, but I think that hers turned out to be more like a really goofy looking pumkin. Matt is cutting the faces out of the punkings and of course he's doing it with a power tool.
